A multi-layered piece with significant texture in soft golden green and pale yellow tones. I used a printmaking technique called chine-collé in combination with gelli plate printmaking to add additional interest and depth to this piece that resembles light flowing into the forest. A layer of tissue paper was printed on with a design and then adhered to the heavier support sheet. The glue makes the tissue paper transparent yet wrinkles also appear, adding additional interest across the surface.
12x12" mixed media, acrylic with chine-collé mounted onto cradled wood panel.
