Wild roses line the freeway up and down the I-90 corridor leading to the Cascade Mountains near our home.  That's what this large scale cyanotype was made with, wild roses, collected at the side of a parking lot. I love how something commonplace, found in less than glamorous conditions, can become remarkably beautiful. The last photos show how this piece hung in our living room during the holidays. I've grown quite fond of it and especially love how the gold underpainting shines and reflects light.
 
Original cyanotype on 22x30" 100% cotton Canson Edition paper with two deckled edges.
