Japanese anemone are a gift that keeps on giving late into the fall. This year they were particularly generous, blooming well into October, offering such a profusion of flowers that there were plenty for art-making.

I like the bold contrast of this piece and the watercolor-like effect in the light areas that create pools of light and give the leaves a bright yelow glow.

Acrylic, art measures 16x20" on 80 lb, 130 gsm, acid-free paper. Sold unframed.
