A bright, multi-layered piece with lots of texture and shimmer in blue and chartreuse. I used a printmaking technique called chine-collé in combination with gelli plate printmaking to add additional depth to this piece. A layer of tissue paper was printed on with a design and then adhered to the heavier support sheet. The glue makes the tissue paper transparent yet wrinkles also appear, adding additional interest across the surface.
As you can see in the photo, the layer of tissue paper is smaller than the blue layer of paint beneath it. This piece can be framed/cropped with a mat covering the blue edge or the blue edge can be left visible, it's up to your preference.
Acrylic with chine-collé on 12x16 tissue paper, art measures approximately 16x20" when measured with plain peach-colored edge on 80 lb, 130 gsm, acid-free 20x24" paper - sold unframed.
