A multi-layered piece with lots of texture in soft pink and pale yellow tones. I used a printmaking technique called chine-collé in combination with gelli plate printmaking to add additional interest and depth to this piece. A layer of tissue paper was printed on with a design and then adhered to the heavier support sheet. The glue makes the tissue paper transparent yet wrinkles also appear, adding additional interest across the surface.
As you can see in the photo, the layer of tissue paper is smaller than the pink layer of paint beneath it. This piece can be framed/cropped with a mat covering the pink edge or the pink edge can be left visible, it's up to your preference.
Acrylic with chine-collé on 12x16 tissue paper, art measures approximately 16x20" when measured with plain peach-colored edge on 80 lb, 130 gsm, acid-free 20x24" paper - sold unframed.
