Evocative even after their blossoms had fallen, the Branching Out Collection was made using the branches of flowering plum and cherry trees. This was my first body of work using a large-scale (at least it seemed quite large to me at the time) gelatin plate. These were made with a homemade plate made from gelatin, glycerin and water poured and hardened in a jelly roll sheet pan measuring approximately 14x18." Each monotype is printed on archival white paper that measures 18x24."
