There are many forms of printmaking but a gel plate makes it incredibly accessible. Your hands work as your printing press!
 
In this 2 and half hour long class, you'll learn how to create beautifully layered botanical art prints using the gel plate, acrylic paint, a brayer and all kinds of texture tools. 
 
I'll show you how to:
capture intricate details from plant materials
choose harmoniuos colors for a cohesive finished print
create a mix of complex visual textures
achieve depth and interest in your prints
create a sense of movement in your prints
 
All supplies are included (though students are welcome to bring objects from home). Everyone will take away numerous prints and the knowledge to continue this inspiring process at home.
 
Dates are TBA. Class will be held this November in partnership with Issaquah Arts and the Arts Sanctuary at Our Savior Lutheran Church.
